My 1874 house in Great Bend, Kansas. I just love old wrought-iron fences. This house is 148 years old and still in good condition. Cobbled sidewalks border the front yard.

THE WINDS OF GRACE
by WVlady:
I started reading "The Winds of Grace" and didn't want to stop. God's power and mercy was shown through "Grace" as she continued her journey to find her earthly father. Her determination and faith rewarded her with the father she had longed for all her life.

Just finished reading The Winds of Grace and loved it. The "leading lady" is charming and the supporting people are fun and lively. The main story line carried itself real well and flowed along with the other action and relationships to make a captivating story. I am already looking forward to a sequel.

I think the thing I enjoyed most about The Winds of Grace is the way the author brought each character to life! Each lives in my mind & heart. I am anxious for the author to finish subsequent books! I will read anything that Marilyn King authors! Great read you are a gifted writer!

I was immediately sucked into the book from page 1. I was not able to put the book down once I started reading it.There were so many little sub plots that kept me interested throughout the story. There were so many details about the main character, the other characters, and the scenery round about the characters. Being set in the 1800's also made it very interesting to read. I highly recommend this book to anyone. The book contained romance, mystery, and a Godly character coupled with the historical aspect of it to make it a wonderful book to read.

THE WINDS OF COURAGE
by Prince Robair
It is both difficult and risky to write a sequel to a good book. I had no idea where Marilyn was going to go with the second book in this trilogy. Just like her other books, this is another good read. The surprise to me is how well she balanced the events taking place in the lives of both Kindra and Grace. so many things happen in this book it is clear that a lot of thought and planning went into this. A book like this does not just happen. My only disappointment was that it had to end. I can't wait for the third book and then the movie. This could easily be a Ron Howard picture.

The minute I began reading the book I couldn't put it down until I was finished. Such descriptive language. I felt like I'm right there. The characters just come to life. I can't wait until book 3.

THE WINDS OF PROMISE
by Prince Robair
During the first half of the book, Marilyn paints a picture of life on both plantations. A number of things happen during the first half which build the foundation for things to come. The second half explodes with action and events which rock both plantations to their foundations. The latter portion focuses on Denzel and particularly Kindra. Marilyn does an amazing work with Kindra's struggles as well as those around her. The life-changing events that Kindra goes through ultimately result in her becoming stronger in both faith and also in resolve. Marilyn does a great job in building empathy from the reader. Action, adventure, Love, romance and treachery are all found in this book. Read it and hang on for a wild ride.

THE WINDS OF REDEMPTION
by Kristie Ackerman
I just finished Winds of Redemption last night. I love this series. I take them on every vacation. My husband asks, are you reading that book again? I say yes. Each new book that has come out, I have started the series again. I like the continuity. And I've been on some tropical vacations, and it makes the books come alive being there. What I love about them is the complexity and number of characters. I feel like I know the whole community. I feel like history could have been very similar, and I feel compassion for the slaves. I want movies to be made from this storyline. I also hope there is another final book, even though this was supposed to be the finale. Let freedom ring.

Fantastic adventure.
In some ways this is a tragedy of time and want for Kindra. However, it is also a fantastic adventure with a very warm and satisfying completion to her story. As for the rest, Marilyn does an amazing work bringing the reader into the lives of the next generation..The children coming into young adulthood. They play a huge part in this book and it is truly endearing. There is yet one big adventure to be told and I certainly hope Marilyn tells that story in another addition to this book when she is ready. Like most of her readers, you won't want it to stop here. This is where Marilyn shines the brightest.

ISABEL’S SONG

So many interesting characters...different settings...and story lines. Love the innocence of the story, with the mix of evils trying to always take over. Enjoyed the language. Kept me in the day and time.

I wish to say this is the first time I have written a review, but felt compelled to let you know that this is an excellent book. Very well written and reads fast. I could not put it down easily put it down to do my chores around the house. I figured it would be another great book because I read her first book and it was excellent too. You can't go wrong! Get it.

Exciting to the end. Couldn't put it down.

TONY FINDS A HOME
by Mary Langer Thompson
A Mischievous Monkey Invades an American Home
Tony is a Macaque monkey who comes to live with an American family. He swings in tires with the boys and even grooms the mom's hair, ears, and arms. Sometimes he sleeps in a tree, and sometimes he goes inside to sit in an armchair and watch TV. Find out what happens when he steals cookies, and stores a Popsicle in his cheeks! Tony, full of mischief, brings a lot of joy to the family, and this beautifully illustrated book will delight children of all ages. King has departed from her well-received romance novels to write a joyful tale, and I hope to see more children's books from her! Well done!
