The above picture is our farm in Kansas. When we were kids, Daddy named the farm, "Happy Acres." Look to the right of the tractor my brother, John is riding on. That's my little piece of heaven, two acres of pure joy! Each of my siblings have their piece of land all along this road. Granddaughter, Nina is at the wheel as Uncle John looks on. Each summer, my husband, Bob and I break away from the desert and go to the farm. This is where we get a little R & R, and enjoy the family. We soak up as much "green" as we can before heading back home.

I have a thing for vanities and mirrors. Especially from the 1930s to 1950s. Above, are a

How To Know You're A Writer

A few clips from Ane Mulligan (The Nutty Novelist)
YOU KNOW YOU'RE A WRITER IF
  • When you tell the hubs you're excited because your character told you a secret that pulled your whole story together, he looks at you with some doubt and says, "You do realize these people are imaginary, right?"

  • In a house fire, you'd first save your computer, your copy of the Flip Dictionary, and the Christian Writer's Market Guide before your grandmother's jewelry.

  • When you  nail a sentence, you're pretty sure you know how Moses felt when he parted the Red Sea.
